Linsay's is located on Brunswick Street - between
London Road, and Leith Walk - just around the corner from Jongleurs, the Omni Complex, and the
Playhouse Theatre - and is a short walk from the centre of town and venues such as The Stand
and Assembly Rooms. The venue offers attractive and comfortable facilities
with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There are three fully licensed bars, with a wide
selection of spirits, beers and lagers -and three Fringe Performance spaces. There is also a
pool table, and a large walled beer garden - ideal for sitting outside and relaxing between
shows.
2007 is the fifth year that there has been Free shows at the
venue, with shows in the Upstairs Bar and the Basement Bar.
Although inside the venue is no smoking (like everywhere in Scotland!), The
venue welcomes smokers with a large smoking area in the Garden, and the courtyard.
Want to hold a party during the
Fringe, why not use the Garden - covered marquees, gas & wood barbecues, cheap bar...

The venue is a only short walk out from the central Fringe
venues, and also benefits from a great and regular local audience, and is a popular
haunt for people after a civilized drink away from the madness of the main central Edinburgh
bars, attracting a cosmopolitan crowd, artists, musicians and comedians.
with the cheapest bar prices of any Edinburgh venue,
Linsay's is the place to kick back and enjoy the fringe. And Linsay's is also
home to the Free Festival's Performers club, with performers drinking untill the wee small
hours every night.
As well as alcoholic drinks, hot drinks and light snacks are
served all day. Linsay's is also just around the corner (literally) from our New Hillside venue, and also very close to our venue at Edinburgh
City FC. |
