Lost in a cold harsh world of logic and
technology only extreme naivity and stupidity can save us! Robin Cousins and Jonny Morris
provide a surreal whimsical pin to burst the grey bubble of modern life. Robin Cousins
likes to call his style of humour 'Surreal LITE'. Throw in some topical gags and some
slightly skewed observations on life, mix with some longer autobiographical stuff. Very,
very laid and relaxed on stage back.
"Robin's fairly
laid back humour went down well with the crowd, with observations and stories about topics
as diverse as London, Daleks and self-assessment for tax. The Daleks bit in particular
went down well with the crowd when he got them to shout out jobs for Daleks once they'd
taken over a planet and he'd come out with a Dalek saying (Accountant? "Calculate!
Calculate!"). A good opening to the show" -
XS Mallarkey Review
"With the name of
an ice skater and the looks of Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstall's long lost brother, Robin
Cousins is one of the least threatening comedians I've seen for a long time. He did
a short set and although it was not a perfect there were some real gems in there and with
a little more practice and experience on the stage his act will evolve into something
really rather good. Definitely one to watch. The war cries of Dalek in different
professions was excellent and he had the self confidence to solicit suggestions from the
crowd" - BBC Lincs Website
