A high-octane comical look at life's ups
and downs from Pam Ford - An honest, straight talking and glamorous six-foot 'Brozzy'
(half Brummie, half Aussie.) 'Larger than life...Loud. Brash.
Funny.' - Chortle
Stand Up Comedy is a
passion of Pam Ford. Her life so far inlcuding: growing up in Australia;
moving house 25 times; marrying and divorcing twice; and two not so sweet Aussie kids.
She has decided its
cheaper to perform stand up than go into therapy. She is lively and outrageous, juggling
both glamorous and bawdy material that would make a sailor blush. She shocks, delights and
provides free counselling to poor unsuspecting audience members.
Towering in her
ringmasters outfit she has the best legs in stand-up (barring drag acts). From the moment
she strides on stage she is right there in your face. Her performances are not recommended
for children, she'll either eat them or severely traumatise them. A visual extravaganza
ensues with what she calls singing and dancing interludes.
Sharper than a baby
snatching dingo. More lip than a duckbilled platypus
Pam truly is a rare
bird, choosing to leave sunny Queensland to come to the UK starting off (as Aussies do) as
a barmaid, eventually becoming a Pub Landlady. Her passion for stand up developed while
having to keep her clown/freak show like customers amused. And performing in the village
hall, hosting a 'Full Monty style ladies night' after persuading some of the fella's from
the pub to get their gear off. Duties entailed lion tamer, trapeze artist and juggler on a
daily basis! |
