A Muslim, a Buddhist, a London
Scot walk into a bar - Sajeela Kershi, Verity Welch, Maureen Younger offer their hilarious
take on life, love, death and everything in between. Three different viewpoints, three
funny women.
Having already received great reviews for their individual stand-up routines,
Pretty Dirty Things have combined forces to bring to Edinburgh three of the best female
comedians on the comedy circuit for the price of one. Offering their individual take on
life, love, death and everything in between, their subjects range from being an Asian
dominatrix with eating disorders to rape, miscarriage, the joys of sex with younger men as
well as more practical advice such as using pseudo pregnancy to ensure a seat on the tube
in rush hour! Three different viewpoints, three funny women!
Hackney Empire finalists Verity Welch and Maureen Younger along with fellow
comedian, Sajeela Kershi, will be performing together this year as part of the Laughing
Horse Free Fringe Festival
Sajeela Kershi is a stand up comedian who has been making a name for herself
on the comedy circuit since 2006. Her open, friendly style has made her popular with
audiences up and down the country both as an act and as an up-and-coming MC.
Verity Welch, initially encouraged into comedy by the late Malcolm Hardee, is
well known and respected on the London Comedy circuit for her in your face
distinctly
feminine humour (Ents24 Website). Maureen Younger whose sharp self
effacing humour brings interesting new perspectives to the stage (Hackney Empire
Website) is frank, fast, feisty and engaging - honest humour with attitude as she
enlightens the audience with a refreshing exposé on the joys and tribulations of being a
more mature female. |
