TEDx-style talks, but nerdier and with a twist. Each presentation has exactly 20 slides, and each slide advances automatically after 20 seconds (yes, PowerPoint really is that awesome). Each day, a different lineup of comedians from around the Fringe gives talks on their nerdy passions, inspired by the Japanese Pecha Kucha presentation style. The final talk is a mystery slideshow, where comedians pretend to be experts on slides they have never seen before.Presentations can cover anything from science, history, geography, philosophy, art, pop culture, sports, and more. Every talk is followed by a Q&A hosted by comedians Scott and David, who also MC the event. Scott Redmond has been described by the BBC as “Scotland’s leading Romani poet and comedian”, has headlined in seven countries, was a finalist in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards, garnered over three million views through BBC The Social, and received five-star reviews as part of comedy punk band FEVER PEACH. David Benaim’s debut Edinburgh Fringe run in 2025 resulted in a sold-out show, “Excel Comedy & Mathem-antics.” David is also one of the organisers of Nerd Night Phnom Penh, which has been running similar events for nearly a decade.Follow our social media pages for updates on daily topics and speakers.‘Never before will you have learnt so much from a comedy show’ (TheMagdalen.com)
