David Benaim

David has been performing stand-up since 2022, mostly in Phnom Penh Cambodia where he lives but he spends around three months per year travelling for work, conferences, vacation and comedy and has performed comedy in 10 countries: Belgium, Cambodia, Denmark, England, Germany, Norway, Scotland, Thailand, USA and Vietnam. David does many sets focusing on wordplay but also does sets on absurdism, character act outs. David regularly is a feature act for comedy showcases & an opener for international professional comedians who pass through the region. David emcees a monthly comedy open mic show and helps run a training course for first time comedians biannually. As one of the main Comedy in Cambodia organisers (www.facebook.com/comedyincambodia ), David coordinates and emcees many specialist shows including an annual pride stand-up comedy show & stand-up shows in French (which David speaks fluently). David is also part of an improv troupe and coaches speakers for a fortnightly public speaking night called Nerd Night, where anyone can give short talks about their nerdy passions. https://www.nerdnightphnompenh.com/. Professionally, David owns a company Xlconsulting (https://www.xlconsulting-asia.com/ ) that provides consulting services in data analytics and corporate training courses in Excel and presentation skills and has a master’s degree in mathematics from Manchester University. David often likes to bring these into his comedy. He devotes his career to Excel with a 17k subscriber YouTube channel and an 11k LinkedIn following. David blogs, gives webinars and training courses around the world in Excel and beyond.
