Movies through an Irish lens- Terry O' Neill is a comedian and an actor. He has been in films, but so far not to many people have wanted to see them. Marty Scorsese wont return his calls and Quentin has changed his phone number. Despite these set backs he ploughs on head- first pursuing his dream of becoming an established film actor.

Films were the first great love of Terry's life, and the first cut is the deepest, ever since his Dad let him watch taxi driver, aged 6, he has been smitten by the silver screen.

What is it that draws us all to cinema? Is it escapism from the mundanity of real life? Is it to challenge or pre- conceived opinions or to validate what we already felt we knew? Why do some people love Westerns or Liam Neeson kicking ass while others seek out avant garde Swedish cinema of the 1920s? Why do some people like to be scared in the cinema and why does Terry's Dad now only seem to watch movies where Jason Statham plays a robot sent on a mission to kill a dictator played by Keith Allen?

We also delve in to Terry's many real life experiences of life as an actor chasing the impossible dream. The constant rejection and often humiliating experience of playing drug addicts, drug dealers (his usual forte) suspected sex offenders and "doorman number 2." What is it like to have to get naked on set in front of 50 people? (oh yes, he has done this more than once) Or how does it feel to be injured by a mop in a fight scene? These are all questions we get the insiders answer to in this hilarious hour of stand up comedy.

We also look at movies "through the Irish lens" - we examine some classics, and find out why Billy Zanes' character was really the hero in "Titanic" why the Irish chose to all watch "Contagion" during a global pandemic and what movies Anne Frank would have watched if she had Netflix in that attic.
