The award-winning
Shameless Films (BBC3 Funny Hunt winners 2006) unleash their riotously funny brand of
sketch comedy onto the Edinburgh stage. And it's FREE! Hurrah!
'One of the funniest things we've ever seen' - 4Laughs.
Why I Hate
Mechanics is a brand-new
sketch show from Shameless Films, an award-winning comedy team from the North East of
England.
Their
zero-budget comedy films have been a massive hit on the internet, leading to broadcast by
the BBC, ITV and MTV, but this year they are going live for the first time.
In 2006 they won
BBC3s Funny Hunt, a comedy talent search. Writer James Harris said:
We have done very well with filmed comedy, but we miss the buzz of doing it live.
And where better to debut than in Edinburgh, for the biggest buzz of all?
Shameless Films are a bunch of
writers, directors, designers, actors, musicians and animators from the North East. They
live by the seaside and make zero-budget short films, virals, sketches and animations.
Thier work has been broadcast by the BBC, ITV, MTV, HypTV and Propeller TV in the
UK, by Blip TV and Rooftop Comedy in the US and at film festivals world wide.
