Fresh from making a name for
himself on the London circuit, comedian Oli Bettesworth performs his first Edinburgh
stand-up show: a hilarious, raw and thought-provoking blend of personal and political
material which is set to become a Fringe must-see.
Having celebrated his 24th birthday this year, and
therefore being roughly a quarter of the way through his life (a very generous estimation
given his current diet and minimalist exercise regime), Oli decides to take stock and
examine how it's all going so far - embarking on a journey which takes in
sledgehammer-wielding neighbours, the questionable glamour of the television industry, our
new Prime Minister's bizarre secret, the marriage of man to pillow, and many things in
between. World-weary and anxious beyond his years, Oli struggles to get to grips with a
universe that hasn't come with the proper instructions.
After winning audiences on the circuit over with his
unique brand of surreal playfulness, incisive wit and deadpan absurdism, 'Quarterlife
Crisis' sees this young comedian take his act to a whole new level. Catch him quick -
before you have to start paying!
"Oli Bettesworth virtually brought me to
tears" - Adjoa Wiredu
"An all-action sad hero" - Mark
Stillers
