Douglas is constantly being reminded by his mother
that his dad is the legendary rock-star, Jim Morrison. Trouble is that Douglas and
his mother live in a dreary northern town in England and not sunny L.A. Determined to
follow in his fathers footsteps, he heads off with his guitarist to America.
However, an accident in the back of a run-down van in Kansas City cuts short his
quest for success leaving him with terrible facial scars. Back in England, Douglas
struggles to overcome his difficulties through performance art and soon discovers some
startling home truths.
Brass Parks is a new company formed by Chris
Brassington and James Henry Parker dedicated
to creating fresh, exciting, devised material for modern audiences. Their aim is to create challenging theatre
designed both to stimulate and question performers and audience alike. They
also aim to take their experimental devising techniques to the wider community.
Chris Brassington attended the Desmond Jones
School of Mime and Physical Theatre, the Poor School and Central School of Speech and
Drama, He is a director of London Drama and leads drama workshops for practitioners.
James Henry Parker (director) is regularly seen
on film, television and stage. He has a long history in both Acting and Stand-up comedy. |
