for love from the 1970s to the present. Alison Goldie enacts her autobiographical tales in
a vital and intimate style, playing all the characters in a theatrical tour de force. An

Truly unmissable
It is funny and touching with fabulous, pithy
observations on life
.beautifully crafted
first-class theatre.
Helen Abbey, BBC Online
It is impossible not to like Alison
Goldie. She has written her script with warmth and honesty and delivers it with
startling intimacy. This is adult material, to be sure, but it is never
uncomfortable. Ms. Goldie has a long history in the stand-up comedy world
and
she is also a terrific actor
.spot-on portrayals of everyone from her former lovers
to a cheery array of animals help to keep things interesting and fresh. Direction and
staging is also exceptional
.This is the narrative of one womans life of
relationships and sex, but there is obviously a wider, universal appeal in these
experiences. Indeed, it is in the relatability of both Alison Goldie
and her stories where the piece truly succeeds.
Megan Hunter, Fringe Review ****
For me it's what drama is all about, it is the reason I go to the theatre and
I felt privileged to be there. This was a laugh out loud, honest and poignant story of a
woman's relationships with the opposite sex. It was courageously told, first hand, by the
writer and actress Alison Goldie. It is for adults only but there was nothing offensive in
it. Alison is an outstanding performer combining her acting skills with the expert timing
of a good comedian.
Martin Wood, official reviewer, Buxton Fringe Festival
The lady performs with charm, imagination and expression
. a witty,
engaging and fabulous fringe play whisks you through stories of sex, relationships and
life.
Hina Pandya, Camden Gazette
Alison Goldie is not afraid to let her younger self know that there are no
real answers, that it is precisely this journey, rather than any destination, that
ultimately matters. This is difficult material, skillfully and honestly rendered, with
some unexpected magic at the end.
Adam Elston, Fringe Report
