Following 10
sell-out nights at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival cult online superstars Kunt and the Gang
return in 2010 with their new show Complete Kunt, dragging the comedy song
down to a new puerile low.
The show is based around songs from their new album/DVD Complete Kunt: The greatest
minor internet hits of Kunt and the Gang, a compilation of the most popular tunes from
their 4 studio albums including Men with beards (what are they hiding?), Wanking
over a pornographic Polaroid of an ex-girlfriend who died, Lets send nan to
Dignitas and Fucksticks.
Also featured is their Michael Jackson tribute song, which led to death threats from
obsessive American Jacko fans, and their version of Katy Perrys I kissed a girl
re-worked in the most British of ways - as a unerotic tale of a gay sex act on a building
site!
Lead singer Kunt, like the onanism-obsessed beanpole son of John Shuttleworth unblinkingly
lurches from filthy hit to filthy hit, occasionally assisted by his perverted puppet pal
Little Kunt. But this is no conventional ventriloquist show as the pair compete to see who
blinks first as they belch out a barrage of disgusting but hilarious rhyming couplets
covering everything from human excrement to Camilla Parker-Bowles.
Despite
an impressive, loyal following all over the UK Kunt and the Gang is by no means everyones
cup of tea as each horrifying sexual scenario is played out with an earnest, cheeky charm
which reviewers have variously found hilarious or harrowing.
