A brand new
Fringe and Free Festival venue for 2011, Koko is a recently refurbished bar that has a
music stage with full sound and light set-up in the main bar area. As the stage is in the venue's main bar, this venue is primarily for bands
and music, although other genres such as cabaret shows could work, do bear in mind that
you will not be in a separate room so there will be people there to eat and drink, so
primarily music and bands will work where other genres that require separate spaces would
not.
Koko is located on Potterrow, right behind the Pleasance
Dome, so is well located a bar for food, drink and music being so close to The
Pleasance Dome, Udderbelly, Gilded Balloon, Fringe Central and Free Venues at the
Counting House, Pear Tree and Meadow Bar
The location of Koko with it's proximity to our Free
Music Festival's main stage at the Pear tree makes this an ideal indoor space for
bands to perform close to other performances at the outdoor music stage.
