 Ego nightclub will be the magnificent home
for Funny Women in 2007 A grand, vibrant and unique venue in the heart of Edinburgh
situated directly opposite Edinburgh’s Playhouse Theatre and Omni Centre.
Club Ego was previously a Casino and before that, more importantly,
a dancehall just after the First World War and still has the look to prove it!
A glamorous and regal ballroom style main room with a second room
underneath that houses a fish tank and the funkiest fish in club land.
 After the Free shows during the day, the
venue transforms into what it does for the rest of the year: being The most diverse
nightclub in Scotland, housing acts such as Mr Scruff, Judge Jules, Felix Da Housecat,
Green Velvet and Gil Scott Heron, to the institution that is VIBE, Edinburgh’s
leading weekly gay night plus the decadent and burlesque ‘Vegas’, there is also
funk and soul a plenty with Modern Lovers and Indie/Punk rock nights for all you grungers
out there. A veritable smorgasbord of sounds! You are bound to find something at Ego to
