A
Personal War- is based on TRUE accounts of seven people who went through the Tragedy
that unfolded in Mumbai on 26/11/08. They were at seven different locations when terror
engulfed the city with Terrorist Attacks at major landmarks, hotels and populated areas.
Raw, poignant,
sensitive and even funny in parts it encourages the audience to see that Change is
possible. We do not need a tragedy to realise how much difference small changes can
make in our lives. The stories unfold through a series
of monologues and videos.
Heart wrenching and
real- this is a story of hope and courage even in the face of a disaster as terrible as
26/11. Terror has today become a global phenomenon. It has no religion, cast, creed or
colour. The incredible stories of the survivors will highlight human fortitude, strength
and courage in the face of such meaningless destruction. I believe that survivor
stories give us hope.
They were brave, strong
and they learnt some valuable life lessons from these horrific acts. We should not have to go through horrors like theirs to learn some simple, invaluable life lessons.
The script is Original.
This is the first time the Director and cast are performing and visiting Edinburgh Fringe
festival.
One of the most sensitive
portrayals I have ever seen on the Terror Attacks. The script was touching and real. A
must watch! - Mumbai Commissioner of
Police, Crime- Mr. D. Shivanandan
