"There's no no-show business like no-show business"From the Author of "How to Write, Perform and Produce a Cancelled Edinburgh Fringe Show" comes an hour of nothing. Musical Comedian Ashley Frieze is not coming to the Edinburgh Fringe 2025. Don't go looking for him. He's not here. He's at home, probably. The price of staging a show, even with the help of the Free Festival, has risen to the point that most performers are going to lose their shirts to put on a show. Paying to stage a no-show is significantly cheaper and more bang for your buck than attending the Fringe these days.Perhaps this is the perfect storm of uncontrolled price gouging at the same time as a big Oasis concert. Maybe the Fringe is irrevocably overpriced, and increasingly reserved for either the super successful or the vanity projects of those with disposable income. Maybe the fact that there needs to be bursaries for some acts to be able to attend a Fringe is a warning sign.Either way, Ashley Frieze is not coming to this Fringe. He'll be singing his distinctive brand of comedy songs somewhere else.https://www.ashleyfrieze.co.uk/notIf you think this is a double bluff, then please show up in person to check. We're estimating that an hour spent staring at an empty stage will not be the worst show of this year's Fringe."There's nothing to see here", EdFringe User Review"I have neither the time, nor the patience for your stupid publicity stunt", Sir Tom Jones
