Eoghan has lost a friend and he’s not dealing with it well. Mostly as a byproduct of being Irish. A breed that isn’t exactly considered even novices when it comes to addressing emotions head on. Following a two year dance with insomnia, he decides to go to therapy for the first time in his life, but unsurprisingly he has a lot more things to unearth and get his big Irish head around before he can deal with grief. And How Does That Make Me Feel? is a musical stand up comedy show that delves into how being bullied at a young age leads to the deluded pursuit of dreams that end up causing you more stress than joy especially when you’re not equipped with the proper way to deal with your emotions. All this leads to comedic misinterpretations of relationships, family and thai massages. This is conveyed through a likeable onstage persona where even some of the darker topics are digestible as the person saying them doesn’t seem to grasp the severity of thoughts at times. The show observes that what makes us who we are as children can drastically determine how we deal with life once we’re older and how that can leave you poorly equipped to process the tougher things life throws at you like the death of someone close to you.
Eoghan played in bands throughout his early 20s and is a classically trained actor turned musical comedian having played all the major clubs in Ireland and moving to London in January 2024 to make moves on the UK scene. He was a finalist in Ireland’s Show Me The Funny competition in 2024 and was a semi-finalist in the UK Musical Comedy Awards 2024.
Eoghan uses a blend of live acoustic guitar, loops made in the moment and layered pre-recorded tracks to create a musically dynamic show that investigates his inner feelings for the world and the people around him by mostly misinterpreting dynamics and intentions.
