"Jokes I rescued from the future (by telling them now)" provides a whirlwind of absurdist humour and offbeat surprises in a fast-paced comedy show. It features unpredictable one-liners, surreal sketches and maybe a poem or two. Quite likely the only show to mention both onion soup and lightspeed travel – but never at the same time, of course!The show is a light-hearted exploration of my fumbling with a common problem of the information age. How to stay focussed? And should I even try? Am I spending my free time productively enough? The internet offers many solutions but, frankly, at this point I can’t see the forest for the phone I’d rather look at. Join me for a semi-comprehensive investigation into these topics – potentially with some detours. We discuss everything from surviving distractions and staying present to doing guided meditations disturbed by crabs and the struggles of riding seahorses.This is a show for anyone who’s ever lost themselves in a YouTube rabbit hole – and also for people who haven’t (I envy you).
