At The End of Kaliyuga is about Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the destroyer) who are known as the holy trinity of Hinduism, deciding the fate of the Earth as we come to the end of the fourth and the final cycle (Yuga) of the Universe. Will they put an end to the planet to begin a fresh start? Will humanity get a second chance to fix all the problems? Or is there a third path that the Gods will take for the sake of humanity? The themes of this story revolve around destruction vs. rebirth and using mythology to connect the dots to our future.
At the end of the show the children (and parents) get to share the stage with the performer and learn different mudras (hand gestures from Indian Classical Dance) and build a new imaginary world together. This show asks some of the most crucial questions about birth and destruction by touching the topic of climate change and empathy towards the planet. The children get to answer these questions by participating in the narrative and finding their own ending to the show which makes this show unique every single time.
This exciting solo show is a combination of Indian Classical Dance (Bharatnatyam) and clown storytelling. When mythology blends with humor every tough question on this planet can be resolved with an imaginative and illuminating answer.
