35 years of being paid to dance about like a fucking idiot and swear at cunts. Join me, the most Seymour Mace of all the comedians, as I take to the stage, my pockets stuffed with almost all of the little bits and pieces of shite that I've tried to pass of as entertainment throughout those 35 years. There'll be classic old favourites, bits that never made it to the stage, new bits that appear in my head and some stuff that died on its fucking arse but hey ho, lets give it another go; maybe it was just ahead of its time!
The experience will be different every day as I randomly rummage about in my massive pockets to pick out particular pieces of shit that will dictate the nature and direction of the show. Could be jokes, games, songs, drawings, poems, puppets sketches or loads of other haphazard high, middle and lowlights from my overlong career down at the arse end of the arts. So get yourselves down! If only to witness a rapidly ageing, melancholy, misanthropes' inner child leaping around like a desperate lunatic as he revels in a brief respite from his almost constant struggle with the existential angst that comes from the realisation of nothing.

Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee.

News and Reviews for this Show

Seymour Mace’s show Looking Stupid, Dressing Up and Saying C*nt a Lot: 35 Years of Being a Fool* is a chaotic, unfiltered journey through the mind of a self-proclaimed “professional f*cking lunatic.” With 35 years of experience in the comedy world, Mace invites the audience to join him in a raw, unscripted performance where each day is dictated by whatever he pulls out of his metaphorical “Questionable Bag of Sh*te”!

The show is a mix of hilarious anecdotes, melancholic reflections, and sharp misanthropy, all delivered with Mace’s signature irreverence. His background, from growing up in South Tyneside to his early days in drama clubs, has clearly shaped his unique comedic style. Mace doesn’t shy away from darker topics, including his experience of almost being groomed, but he manages to find absurdity in the pain, creating a show that’s both poignant and painfully funny.

His drole delivery and rambling North East accent only add to the sheer uncomfortableness at times, and the show swings from deep & dark to flippant & light-hearted several times.

A well-travelled comedian and an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Mace’s act is as unpredictable as it is engaging. It’s a trawl through his life, digging out elusive nuggets of comedy gold. If you’re looking for something different, deeply personal, and occasionally uncomfortable, this show is an unmissable experience from the most Seymour Mace of all comedians. Click Here
