Since bursting onto the Scottish comedy scene in 2009, RIK CARRANZA has built up a reputation as a solid act, who blends quirky observational humor with musical comedy.
Rik has reached the semi-finals of the prestigious SCOTTISH COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR competitionfor the last three years, won numerous gong shows and has gigged across Scotland (and beyond).
As the only Scottish/Filipino comic on the UK circuit, Rik draws on both his upbringing and his passion for films and superheroes to create a show that seamlessly blends adult humor with songs and cartoons.
Rik has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe for the past five years, making his solo debut in 2014, with CHARMING - a top ten recommended show that attracted numerous positive reviews.
Whilst his solo show and club sets are aimed firmly at an adult audience, Rik has also performed at a number of kids’ shows, leading the crowd in cheeky sing-alongs and assorted silliness.
