Sarah Jane Quinn
I am a passionate storyteller which is demonstrated in my theatre and screenwriting endeavours. I know how to combine true authentic facts with a pulsating dramatic story and I understand the importance of story structure, which I consistently strive to perfect through my own practical writing achievements. I am an award-winning screenwriter of short film dramas "A Sorry Story" and "Santa's Grotty."
I was also commissioned by a local museum to research and write a site-specific play on the Women's Suffrage Movement in Scotland. I subsequently wrote and directed a fact-based historical drama which tells true stories of what Scottish Women endured, in order to win the right to vote in 1918. My play called "Hard Fought Victory" was successfully performed to High School pupils for International Women's Day in 2019 and again in March 2020, just prior to lockdown.
My new play "Home Body - The Musical" will debut at Edinburgh Festival 2024.
