Pablo Lechuga
PABLO LECHUGA (Spain, 1990).
Pablo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication (2012), with a specialization in screenwriting from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Master’s in Theatre & Literature in the European Context (2017) from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia.
He studied acting with renowned masters across Europe, including Philippe Gaulier, Sergei Ostrenko, Gytis Padegimas, and Jessica Walker. He began his professional theatre career in Rome with the improvisation show «Over the Rainbow» (2011), and the following year joined Ostrenko’s cast in «Romeo & Juliet» (2012) at Anton Chekhov’s Theatre in Taganrog, Russia.
He returned to Russia in 2013 to perform «Low-Tech» by Dima Melkin, followed by two years of touring French-language productions «Le Fantôme de l’Opéra» and «Dom Juan» with Teatre del Repartidor. In 2016, he debuted his first duet piece, «Serna y Lechuga».
After participating in Düsseldorf’s theatre festival, Pablo relocated to Australia, where he lived until 2019. Upon his return to Europe, he reestablished his work in film and television, appearing in the feature film «Costa» (2021), the TV series «Carácter Lechuga» and «Com si fos ahir», as well as television appearances in «Està Passant» and numerous advertising campaigns.
In 2020, he premiered his first solo show, «El Partido», which received critical acclaim at Festival Mutis 2021 and Festival Actual 2024. He has also collaborated with socially engaged theatre companies such as Teatracció and Arde Teatro, performing in productions like «Climate Fighters» and «Adentro».
Since 2023, Pablo has continued touring with his solo works. He premiered «Un Pelo Andaluz» at Festival El Pasillo Verde, and «Elephant in the Room»—presented at international festivals including Reykjavík Fringe, Tallinn Fringe, Gothenburg Fringe, Prague Fringe, Finfringe, and the Edinburgh Fringe. The latter is now set to return for a new run, marking an ongoing chapter in his evolving international stage career.
