Pablo Lechuga
PABLO LECHUGA (Spain, 1990).
Bachelor in Audiovisual Communication (2012) specialised in screenwriting by Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Masters in Theatre & Literature in the European Context (2017) by Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia. He studied acting with great masters around Europe such as Philippe Gaulier, Sergei Ostrenko, Gytis Padegimas and Jessica Walker. Began his professional theatre career in Rome with an improvisation show «Over the Rainbow» (2011) and the following year joined Ostrenko's cast in «Romeo & Juliet» (2012), in Anton Chekhov's theatre of Taganrog. He returned to Russia performing «Low-Tech» (2013) by Dima Melkin, followed by theatre tours for two years with Teatre del Repartidor until his first duet, «Serna y Lechuga» (2016). After participating in Düsseldorf's theatre festival, Pablo resided in Australia until 2019. He then returned to Europe, reestablishing his work in film, such as «Costa» (2021), TV series such as «Carácter Lechuga» or «Com si for ahir» and numerous works in publicity. By 2020 he presented «El Partido», his first solo show, acclaimed in Festival Mutis 2021 and Festival Actual 2024. Pablo has been engaged with theatre companies such as Arde Teatro and their shows «Climate Fighters» or «Adentro». In 2023 he presented «Hasta aquí hemos llegado» with Johi Amor and Sandra Lo, but also his second solo show, «Elephant in the Room», part of Reykjavík's, Tallinn's and Gothenburg Fringe Festivals, being nominated in the ‘Hype Award’ for this last one.
