MAUREEN LANGAN is a standup comic, writer, and talk show host who loves to lambast reality stars, politicians, hipsters, the politically correct and the easily triggered. Her quick wit and honest rants on life’s absurdities make her a hit at clubs, theaters and festivals from the U.S to South Africa.
DON’T MAKE ME HATE YOU, her comedy special, is featured on www.DryBarComedy.com. She admits, “I don’t want to hate people, they make me hate them. I start out loving everyone; it’s what you do that causes me to hate you."
Maureen has performed on Broadway with Rosie O’Donnell and has shared the stage with Robin Williams, Paula Poundstone, Steven Wright and Gladys Knight. As a broadcaster for Bloomberg Television, her most memorable moments were interviewing Joan Rivers and George Carlin. She’s been featured on Gotham Live, Comics Unleashed and HBO. Her unique experience as both a comedian and broadcaster make her an in-demand commentator on television and radio.
Maureen’s father is a retired New York City sanitation worker. Her mother is Irish. Maureen has an Irish passport or, as she calls it, “an exit strategy.” She grew up with five siblings in Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, where there is no lake. She resides in New York City.
