Jay Sodagar

Jay Sodagar is a leading UK comedian, who has been performing in the UK since 1998, and can be seen regularly at major comedy clubs across the country including the Comedy Store.

Since 2004 Jay has taught comedy at the Hastings adult education Forum, leading students of all standards to becoming successful stand-up comedians with a programme similar to that of the Laughing Horse Courses. From this he developed the Laughing Horse course and is both the most regular tutor teaching these course, having taught the course and originated them in 2006. He's used to working with students of all skill levels to improve their stand-up performance, and spends a lot of time working with performers each year.

Jay has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in his own shows annually since 2003, and knows the comedy circuit at all levels. He's performed at numerous other festivals, performed stand-up around the world and also finds time to do some acting.

Jojo Sutherland

Jojo Sutherland is based in Edinburgh and will ofter run our Edinbirgh courses. She is one of Scotland's leading female comedian and has affectionately become known as a godmother to all Scottish comedian. A charismatic performer Jojo has performerd comedy for over 20 years in all of the major comedy clubs across the UK as well as internationally, and she is also a contributor to several newspapers, a radio presenter, and an actress that works in theatre and film.

She has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2000, with her own theatre company and solo stand-up shows, and has even found time to run her owen comedy venue.

Jojo had been teaching stand-up at all levels for a number of years now for both Laughing Horse and her own comedy courses.

Nik Coppin

A stand-up comic for more than 15 years, Nik Coppin has performed all over the world and developed an international cult following. He has performed many solo shows at the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe Festivals, New Zealand and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, all over Australia and the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival in Los Angeles, all to critical acclaim.

As well as the festivals, Coppin has made himself a worldwide circuit comedian having performed in many European countries such as Germany, Ireland, Hungary, France, Denmark and Norway. He has also frequented Southeast Asia doing shows in Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and The Philippines.

Nik Coppin is also the creator, producer and MC of the international and hugely popular hit show 'Shaggers' where comedians of all varieties and sexual orientations are encouraged to talk about their sexual exploits to hilarious effect. A themed stand-up comedy show which has experienced sell-out performances around the globe, also to critical acclaim. A spin-off of this show is the family friendly show ‘Huggers’, which has become extremely popular and loved at festivals in the UK and Australia and added yet another notch in Coppin's belt having entertained small children.
